How to Visualize the OpenStreetMap (OSM) Using Flutter SfMaps?

3 mins read

In Flutter Maps, you can visualize the OpenStreetMap(OSM) and customize it easily. To add an OSM map, you need to add a MapTileLayer to the list of layers in SfMaps. In the MapTileLayer.urlTemplate property, the URL of the OSM tiles provider must be set as shown below.

Note:

Though the OpenStreetMap is free of cost, we recommend you to check the licensing terms and conditions before using it.

@override
Widget build(BuildContext context) {
   return SfMaps(
      layers: [
         MapTileLayer(urlTemplate: 'https://tile.openstreetmap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png'),
      ],
   );
}

Thus, the rendering of OpenStreetMap can be done. Similar to this, you can visualize Bing Maps, TomTom, etc. in the Syncfusion® Flutter Maps easily.

Note:

For android, make sure you have enabled internet permission in the android manifest file in release mode under android/app/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml.
