How to resolve the Syncfusion WPF Extension update issue?

If the Syncfusion® WPF Extension is already installed in Visual Studio 2015 or earlier versions, it will not receive automatic updates through Visual Studio, nor can you install or update the Syncfusion® WPF Extensions by navigating to Tools > Extensions and Updates in Visual Studio 2015 or earlier versions.

Beginning with the release of Essential Studio Volume 3 2023, Syncfusion® has discontinued the distribution of the Syncfusion® WPF Extensions VSIX on the Visual Studio Marketplace for Visual Studio 2015 and earlier versions.

Syncfusion® has decided to make the Syncfusion® WPF Extensions for Visual Studio 2015 and earlier exclusively available through the installation directory of the Syncfusion® WPF Build.

To resolve this Syncfusion® WPF Extensions update issue:

1. Uninstall the previously installed Syncfusion® WPF Extensions from Visual Studio 2015 or earlier.

2. Install the most recent Syncfusion® WPF Extensions for Visual Studio 2015 or earlier from the installed directory of the latest Syncfusion® WPF Build.

   Syncfusion® offers version-specific WPF extension VSIX files for Visual Studio within the installation directory of Syncfusion®’ s WPF Build, located in (WPF\Version\Utilities\Extensions).

   

   You can install the latest Syncfusion® WPF Extensions for Visual Studio 2015 or earlier by navigating to the installation directory located within Syncfusion®’ s WPF Build at (WPF\Version\Utilities\Extensions\VS2012).
