Configuring Syncfusion Toolbox in Visual Studio 2022 v17.13
During the installation of Syncfusion products on machines with Visual Studio 2022 v17.13 and Visual Studio 2022 Preview 5 (v17.13.0), we have encountered an issue with the Syncfusion Toolbox not appearing or functioning effectively in certain cases. This can be due to an improper configuration, or Visual Studio failing to load the toolbox properly. The installation might stuck in Toolbox configuration.
Offline Installer:
WebInstaller:
The following steps provide a structured approach to resolving these issues and ensuring the Syncfusion Toolbox is installed and configured properly.
Step 1: Reinstall the Syncfusion Installer
-
During installation, uncheck the option “Configure Syncfusion controls in Visual Studio” to bypass this step.
Offline Installer:
WebInstaller:
-
Proceed with the rest of the installation as usual.
Step 2: Manually Configure Toolbox from Toolbox installer Utility
-
Once installed, click the Launch Control Panel.
-
Click Add On & Utilities and click Run Toolbox Installer
-
Toolbox Installer will be opened. Select the framework (4.6.2) and Visual Studio (2022) to be configured and click perform action.
-
It might still appear stuck on loading. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes, then close the window.
Step 3: Verify Toolbox Controls in Visual Studio -
Open Visual Studio 2022 Preview and check if Syncfusion Toolbox Installer is listed under Extensions > Manage Extensions.
-
If it is installed, go to View > Toolbox and check if the toolbox controls are available.
Step 4: Reset the Toolbox (If Controls Are Missing)
• If the toolbox controls are not configured:
-
Right-click inside the Toolbox window.
-
Select Reset Toolbox.
-
Wait for about 10 minutes for Visual Studio to reconfigure the toolbox.
