Setting the TreeViewAdv KeepDottedSelection property to false hides the dotted rectangle around the selected node when the TreeViewAdv loses focus.

this.treeViewAdv1.KeepDottedSelection = true;

Me.treeViewAdv1.KeepDottedSelection = True

If you do not wish to have the dotted rectangle when the node is selected and TreeViewAdv has focus, then use the following workaround:

1. Set the TreeViewAdv OwnerDrawNodes property to true.

this.treeViewAdv1.OwnerDrawNodes = true;

Me.treeViewAdv1.OwnerDrawNodes = True

2. Handle the TreeViewAdv BeforeNodePaint event as shown below:
