How to make the Project template work for a machine that only has Visual Studio 2013 installed?

Note:

This Knowledge Base article applies only to version 12.3.0.36.

The project template may not work in Visual Studio 2013 due to assembly conflicts that occur during project creation. To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

To open Extensions and Updates dialog in Visual Studio 2013.

  1. Open Visual Studio 2013 and choose Tools -> Extension and Updates
  2. Uninstall the Syncfusion.MVC.ExtensionSyncfusion.MVC.VSPackage.Web, and Syncfusion.MVC.VSPackage.Web.Classic extensions. Refer to the following screenshot for more information. 

Uninstall Syncfusion Extensions in Visual Studio 2013

  1. Download the VSIX for Visual Studio 2013.
  2. Extract the downloaded zip file and install the extensions in the following order.
    1. Syncfusion.MVC.Extension
    2. Syncfusion.MVC.VSPackage.Web.Classic
    3. Syncfusion.MVC.VSPackage.Web
  1. Once you install all the VSIX packages, you can restart Visual Studio 2013 and create a Syncfusion® MVC Project.
