How to use the unlock key in Syncfusion installer?
Unlock key is used to unlock the license and trial versions of Syncfusion product. The unlock keys are Version-Specific and corresponding version unlock key should be used to unlock the specific version of product.
Unlock key is available for the following Syncfusion products:
- Essential Studio
- Dashboard Platform
- Reports Platform
For demonstration purposes, the Essential Studio and its screen shots are used in this knowledge base. However, you can follow the same steps for another studio also.
The following steps helps you to generate and use the unlock key in the Installer.
Steps to generate the Unlock key:
Unlock key for licensed products
You can generate the unlock key for required version of the product:
1. If you are a licensed user, you can generate the unlock key from License Downloads and Keys page.
2. In this page, you can see all licensed products in your account.
3. Click Get Unlock Key to generate the unlock key.
4. In Get Unlock Key pop-up, you can generate the unlock the required version.
Unlock key for trial license
Unlock key for trial license is available only for the latest version and you cannot generate for the older versions:
1. If you are active trial user, get the unlock key from Trial and Downloads page.
2. In this page, you can see all active trial downloads in your account.
3. Click Get Unlock Key to generate the unlock key.
4. In Get Unlock Key pop-up, you can find the unlock key for selected product.
Steps to use Unlock key in the Installer:
Platform Offline Installer:
Launch the offline installer and copy paste the generated unlock key in the installer by navigating to the Use Unlock Key tab.

You have to copy the whole key starting from ‘@’ to ‘=’ while copying the key.
Essential Studio Offline Installer:
You can launch the Essential Studio Offline Installer and just copy paste the generated unlock key in the installer’s Use Unlock Key section.

Online Platform and Essential Studio Online Installer:
Syncfusion does not provide the unlock key option in Essential Studio Online and it’s platforms online installer. You should install the online installer only using login and your license (trial or licensed) will be automatically configured.
