How to display the value with currency symbol in Xamarin.Forms numeric controls?

2 mins read

The value of Xamarin Numeric Textbox or numeric up-down controls can be localized to any specific culture by setting the FormatString property value as currency (c – symbol) and changing that specific culture property as follows

[C#]

…

SfNumericUpDown numericUpDown = new SfNumericUpDown()
{
   …
   Value = 100,
   FormatString = "c",
   Culture = new System.Globalization.CultureInfo("en-US"),
  …
};
…

SfNumericTextBox numericTextBox = new SfNumericTextBox()
{
   …
   Value = 1000,
   FormatString = "c",
   Culture = new System.Globalization.CultureInfo("en-US"),
    …
};
…

Output

Currency format support for the numeric controls.
